Behind the scenes: This was so late in the autumn that virtually all trees had their leaves down. This one last standing hero remained and thanks to a very sharp sun that day, strong contrasts were created, strongly differentiating it from the rest of the already winter-ready forest. I used to think that the forests in the time closer to winter are rather depressing places. But from the air, I learned that the undressing of the trees leaves some of them are still exposed in their full autumn beauty. Yes, even this tree will get ready for winter soon… but now it is like the candle waiting to be extinguished and the world falling to white darkness.
